3 Cedar Wax-wings.

Also next to the Hawk were these 2 Barn Swallows.

After an absence of 2 weeks my friend the Red Tailed Hawk was back at his usual post today and he obliged me by posing for his photographs. This is the only hawk that i have found since last October that will sit and let me get close the closest that i have been is 10 feet. Today he even dove on a mouse that was in the grass next to my van , but i didn`t get the photo of him landing on the mouse because my outside mirror blocked my shot .

I found these three young barn swallows outside of their nest. The nest was built underneath a tent cover for a produce store.

I was surprised today to see about a dozen Bushtits at my bird bath as they have been gone since last May. They spent the winter feeding at my suet blocks and they are fun to watch as these little guys are such high energy birds.
