Female Rufus Hummingbird feeding on my Petunias.

A Merganser and a Wood Duck sharing a log.

This song Sparrow let me get within 2 meters for this shot.

Lastly on Monday i got another surprised when an Osprey showed up when i was fishing on the Sumas River. This wasn`t surprising since i have been photographing this bird here for the last 2 months. I was watching him hover over the river looking for fish without much success. He flew around me several times as i was fishing and i guess he had seen me through my fish back into the river. On his third pass he headed back down river and i figured he was gone. To my surprise i turned around and there he was not 20 meters behind on a tree watching me fish. This tree was across the road from where i photographed the Peregrine Falcon.

Also on Saturday i found 2 Red-tailed Hawks, the reaction of this Hawk was quite amusing because instead of flying off when he saw he just walked over to this brush to hide. It didn`t work i still got to photograph him.

Last weekend was a surprising few days because i found Raptors that usually don`t show up here in the Fraser Valley until the fall . Most unusual

were 3 Northern Harriers 1 male and 2 females.
When i took these photos it was quite windy so the branches were swaying a lot yet she was determined to stay on this skinny branch.

Here she is looking at me and squawking up a storm.

A once in a lifetime series of photos of a Juvenile Peregrine Falcon which landed 6 meters from me and was walking towards me. I think she was looking to me to get in the way of her parent that was chasing her trying to gey her to leave the nesting site. It took a couple of weeks for her to leave while her 2 siblings had left weeks before.
